Description
I'm not sure whether this old lady was repairing the rajai, or making it. If she was making it, she was probably making up an order for one of the local shops.
A rajai is a sort of traditional Indian duvet - thin and heavy compared to a European duvet, and not all that warm (and you might be surprised how chilly it can be in a draughty, unheated house in winter in central India at three in the morning). It's filled with fluff from the seeds of a tree - a bit like cotton wool. I've no idea what the tree is called.
